"Shatter Me" is a photographic editorial series inspired by the book series, Shatter Me, by Taherah Mafi. It encapsulates female empowerment, and highlights womanhood and strength. This series is a collaborative effort with a team of female creatives to make each vision a reality, and it brings to the forefront how resilient women are despite trauma and hardships.

 

This series, in a way, is a story to my younger self that portrays self-love and acceptance of my own womanhood and femininity. Although the hardships and trauma I have experienced throughout my life have tried to control the narrative of the way I see myself, this series shows that despite this, even I can flourish and use them as a source of strength to lift myself up.
